LAS VEGAS, NEV. -- Junior Anna Morgan (-2) is tied for ninth to pace the Furman women's golf team after Monday's two rounds of The Show at Spanish Trail, which is being co-hosted by the Paladins and UNLV at the par 72, 6,372 yard Spanish Trail Country Club in Las Vegas, Nevada.

No. 43 Furman (+7) is in a three-way tie for fourth with Cal Poly (+7) and North Florida (+7) and has four players among the top 34 entering Tuesday's final round.

A native of Spartanburg, S.C., Morgan fired a 71 with four birdies in round one and an even 72 with five birdies in round two, including four-consecutive birdies to end the day's play.  Morgan is eight strokes back of leader Leah John (-9) of Nevada, who posted rounds of 69-66=135 on Monday.

Senior Sarah-Eve Rhéaume (+2) is tied for 25th heading the final round.  She led the Paladins with a 70 with four birdies and an eagle on the par-5 No. 6 in the day's opening round then added a 76 with three birdies in the afternoon.

Senior Kyra Cox (+3) and sophomore Sophia Burnett (+3) are tied for 35th.  Cox shot a 73 with four birdies, including three in a row from No. 4 through No. 6, in the day's first round then added a 74 with a birdie on No. 9 in round two.  Burnett scored a 73 with a birdie on No. 5 in round one and posted a 74 with back to back birdies on No. 3 and No. 4 and an additional birdie on No. 11.

Freshman Savannah Hylton (+11) recorded a 79 with a birdie on No. 11 in the day's opening round then rebounded with a 76 with four birdies in the second round to tie for 78th. 

Sophomore Caroline Crumrine (+17), who is playing as an individual, is tied for 83rd after carding an 81 in round one and an 80 with a birdie on No. 5 in round two.

No. 44 UNLV (-17) holds a five-stroke lead over Nevada (-12) after two rounds.  Augusta (-2) is third place entering Tuesday's play.

The 54-hole tournament concludes on Tuesday with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.  Furman will tee off of holes No. 5 through No. 8 and will play in a group with Cal Poly and North Florida.  Live tournament scoring will be available via http://www.golfstat.com.
