GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman head football coach
Clay Hendrix announced today the addition of graduate transfer quarterback Tyler Huff to the Paladins' program.
Huff, who will graduate from Presbyterian (S.C.) College in May and join the Furman program this summer, has two years of eligibility remaining. A business administration major with a concentration in data analytics at PC, he will enroll in Furman's Master of Arts in Strategic Design program.
In two-plus seasons of play at PC, he saw action in 22 games, made 12 starts, and completed 232-of-376 passes for 2,560 yards and 21 touchdowns. Â In addition he rushed for 515 yards and six scores.
The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Orange Park, Fla., product made six starts and passed for 871 yards and seven touchdowns as a freshman in 2019, including a 145-yard performance versus Gardner-Webb that included a passing touchdown and 86 rushing yards and a score.
In the spring of 2021 he started all six of PC's games and led the Pioneer Football League (PFL) in total offensive yards per game (278.5), while finishing second in passing yards per game (244.2). Â A second team All-PFL selection, he threw for a career high 365 yards in a 29-24 win over Drake and passed for 307 yards versus Gardner-Webb.
Huff saw limited action in four games for the Blue Hose this past fall.

Tommy Spangler, who recently joined Furman's staff as assistant coach of the Paladin secondary and special teams coordinator.
Huff is the 15th player to sign with the Paladins since December. Â The Paladins inked 11 recruits during the early signing period, a transfer in early January, and two more recruits in the February signing period.
Furman concluded its spring practice on Saturday.
