JACKSONVILLE, FLA. -- Junior Anna Morgan (-6) fired a final-round 67 to tie for individual medalist honors while the 46th-ranked Furman (+7) women's golf team finished second Tuesday at the UNF Collegiate at the par 72, 5,926 yard Jacksonville Golf and Country Club in Jacksonville, Fla.

Morgan, who hails from Spartanburg, S.C., teed off on No. 1 and birdied No. 5 then eagled the par-5 No. 8 and added another birdie on No. 9 to turn at 4-under.  She scored three additional birdies on the back nine to finish the day at 5-under and tie for the title with Jacksonville State's Berta Sanchez Sabe (-6).

The win marked the second of both the season and of her career for Morgan, who also claimed the title at the Lady Paladin Invitational in September. 

The Paladins placed four players among the top 26, including senior Kyra Cox (+5), who carded a 76 with four birdies, including three birdies in four holes from No. 14 through No. 17 on Monday.  Cox tied for 19th, while sophomore Sophia Burnett (+6) tied for 23rd after posting a 79 with three birdies in the final round.  Senior Sarah-Eve Rhéaume (+7) shot a 73 with birdies on No. 1 and No. 8 Monday to finish in a tie for 26th.  

Sophomore Caroline Crumrine (+15), who played as an individual, tied for 60th.  She tallied a 77 with birdies on No. 13 and No. 14 in the last round, and freshman Savannah Hylton (+21) carded a 74 with five birdies, including back to back birdies on No. 10 and No. 11, to tie for 77th.  

Host North Florida (+1) won the tournament by six strokes over the Paladins.  No. 49 North Texas (+10) was third, followed by Sam Houston (+18) in fourth.  Georgia Southern (+19) rounded out the top five. 

Furman led the field with a 4.68 stroke average on the par 5s and was third with 42 birdies.

The Paladins will compete at the Valspar Augusta Invitational in Augusta, Ga., Saturday and Sunday.
