GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman's Drew Singerman has been voted to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 4 Men's At-Large Team for the third time in his career, as announced today by the CoSIDA Academic All-America Committee. As a member of the all-district team, Singerman will now be placed on the national ballot for CoSIDA Academic All-America consideration.
A senior from Louisville, Ky., Singerman, a member of the Paladins' men's tennis team for five seasons and three-year captain, graduated with a 4.0 GPA in health sciences in 2021 and recently completed a master's in community engaged medicine, also with a 4.0 GPA. He is headed to medical school this fall at either the University of Louisville, the University of Kentucky, or the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville.
Selected team MVP and an All-Southern Conference second team honoree in singles in 2019, he recorded a perfect 17-0 mark that year, claimed 15 singles victories this spring, and was accorded the SoCon's 2022 Buddy Hartsell Sportsmanship Award.
Singerman was inducted into Furman's chapter of Phi Beta Kappa and was the recipient of Paladin Athletics' 2020-21 Dr. John M. Block Academic Achievement Award. In addition he was accorded the Jerry R. Thomas Award in Health Sciences and Furman's Shucker Leadership Institute's Winston Babb Memorial Award.

"Drew is the epitome of who we want to be on and off the court," said Furman head coach J.J. Whitlinger. "His athletic and academic records speak for themselves. Drew will go on to be successful in any medical field he chooses and will be a top notch ambassador for Furman tennis and the university as a whole."
