Furman-Wofford Kickoff Time Moved Up To Noon

Nov. 19 Game At Paladin Stadium Will Mark 96th Meeting In Series

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Kickoff for Furman's Nov. 19 home football game versus Wofford at Paladin Stadium has been moved up to noon, Furman Director of Athletics Jason Donnelly has announced.

The game will mark the 96th meeting in the series, which began in 1889 and represented the first football game in South Carolina and in the Deep South.  Furman holds a 55-33-7 lead in the rivalry and claimed a 42-20 win over Wofford last year in Spartanburg.

The last time the two Upstate and Southern Conference rivals played in Greenville, Furman defeated then sixth-ranked Wofford, 34-14, in 2018. The Paladins and Terriers' game in 2020, rescheduled for the spring  of 2021 due to the pandemic, was canceled.

The Paladins hold a 34-11-5 edge over the Terriers in games played in Greenville.

Furman (2-1, 1-0 SoCon), coming off a 27-13 road victory over 18th-ranked East Tennessee State on Saturday, continues its three-game, early season road stretch this Saturday against Charleston Southern.  Kickoff is set for noon.
