Greenville, S.C. – The Furman men's soccer team returns to Southern Conference play on Saturday when it travels to Lexington, Va., to face the VMI Keydets in a 1 p.m. match on Patchin Field.

Furman enters the contest at 6-3-1 overall and 1-0-0 in league play. The Paladins toppled preseason SoCon favorite UNC Greensboro, 1-0, last Saturday at Stone Stadium before capping their five-match homestand with a 2-0 victory over USC Upstate on Tuesday evening.
 
Redshirt junior Christian Kraus leads the Paladins with five goals and four assists this season while midfielder Dylan Lane has added three goals. Freshman Aaron Salinas earned the shutout in last Saturday's triumph over the Spartans before Cameron Maung-Maung posted a clean sheet on Tuesday night.
 
Furman holds a 38-1-1 record in 40 previous meetings versus the Keydets and secured a 2-1 victory over VMI in last season's regular season finale on goals from Callum Allison and Sam Miller. VMI is 3-8-0 on the season and 0-1-0 in SoCon play following a 5-1 loss to Mercer in its league opener.
