GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman's women's basketball team returns home for its final two regular season games, entertaining Mercer in a 7:00 p.m. Thursday contest before playing host to Samford in a 2:00 p.m. Saturday clash that will highlight Senior Day for the Paladins.

Furman (10-17, 2-10 SoCon) enters the contest having dropped three straight and eight of its last night games, including a 69-66 road setback at East Tennessee State last Saturday. Â The Paladins are currently tied for seventh place in the Southern Conference with Western Carolina but own the tiebreaker by virtue of their two wins over the Catamounts.
Mercer (11-14, 7-5 SoCon) comes to Greenville tied for fourth place in the league standings, only a game out of first place). Â The Bears knocked off the Paladins, 56-42, in Macon on Jan. 28.
Mercer, the reigning SoCon regular season and tournament champion and league leader in 3-point shooting (.386), is led in scoring by graduate All-SoCon guard Amoria Neal-Tysor (15.6 ppg). Â Sophomore guard Erin Houpt is the league leader in 3-point shooting (.432).

Grace van Rij, who ranks fifth in league in field goal perentage (.519). Â Guard
Jaelyn Acker (11.2 ppg) ranks second in scoring among SoCon freshmen.

Ella Riggs, is coming off 15 and 18-point scoring performances against Chattanooga and ETSU. Â Over the last four games the Cincinnati, Ohio, product has connected on 7-of-13 3-pointers (.538).
