2024 Furman Football Preseason Information (PDF)
GREENVILLE, S.C. --- The Southern Conference kicks off the football preseason with its 2024 Football Media Day on Tuesday at Greenville's Hotel Hartness.

The preseason coaches poll will be announced on Tuesday, along with the league's preseason all-conference team, as selected by the coaches. Â
Hendrix, who is entering his eighth season at the helm of Furman's program, is set to welcome 30 lettermen off a 2023 squad that went 10-3 and won eight consecutive games en route to the program's 15th SoCon championship and league's automatic bid to the FCS playoffs. Â The Paladins earned a first round bye and then defeated Chattanooga, 26-7, before falling at No. 2 seed Montana, 35-28 in overtime, in a quarterfinal round contest.Furman was ranked sixth in the AFCA final poll.
Furman is among only three FCS programs to post double-digit wins (20-6) the last two seasons, joining South Dakota State and North Dakota State.Â
The Paladins report for preseason camp on Tuesday July 30, and begin practice on Wednesday, July 31.
Furman kicks off its 2024 season on Saturday, August 31, at Ole Miss in a 7:00 p.m. ET contest.Â
