CARY, N.C. – The Furman men's tennis team continued its fall season by capturing three victories during the ITA Carolina Regional Championship from Cary Tennis Park.
The Paladins, who were competing in their fourth fall tournament of the season, recorded three wins in singles play.
In the main draw of the singles qualifying bracket,
Evan Duggal advanced to the Round of 32 to lead Furman. The sophomore from Lexington, Ky., opened tournament play picking up a straight set victory against UNC Wilmington's Alexander Thompson, 6-1, 6-0.
Walker Allen and
Nicolas Dispas both collected one win in the consolation draw of the singles qualifying bracket. Allen, a junior from Cumming, Ga., defeated Devon Moskowitz of UNC Greensboro in three sets, 6-0, 4-6, 10-6. Dispas, a sophomore from Biot, France, tallied a 7-6(5), 6-2 triumph in straight sets over UNC Greensboro's William Elmers.

Alex Han, and
Nico Snyder.
Furman wraps up its fall season next weekend, October 24-26, traveling to Chattanooga, Tenn., for the Southern Conference Fall Championship.
