GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman women's tennis head coach Michelle Dasso announced today that Spartanburg, S.C., native Shreya Amirichetty will join the team in 2026-27.
A product of Dorman High, Amirichetty is the fourth-ranked player in South Carolina by TennisRecruiting.net. An all region selection, she has played flight one singles since eighth grade and was voted her team's Most Valuable Player. Amirichetty earned the Palmetto State Championship's sportsmanship recognition in 2024 and went on to claim the sportsmanship award at the USTA Southern 18s Championship in June of 2025. A member of the National Honor Society and the Beta Club, she has served as parliamentarian of Dorman's Future Business Leaders of America and won first place for her presentation at the state FBLA leadership conference.Â
