GREENVILLE, S.C. – Furman sophomore Claire Cook has been selected the Southern Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week for all competitions December 3-9, it was announced this afternoon by the league office.

A native of Austin, Texas, Cook set a Furman program record of 1:30.93 in the 600 meters to win the event as the Paladins opened the indoor season at the Clemson Opener in Clemson, S.C.

Furman returns to action January 16-17, 2026, traveling to Nashville, Tenn., for the Vanderbilt Invite.
