MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Furman's Will Morlan (E) moved into 21st place to pace the Paladin men's golf team Monday in round two of the General James Hackler Championship, which is being presented by Carolina Wealth Advisors and hosted by Coastal Carolina at the par 72, 7,233 yard The Dunes Golf & Beach Club.

The tournament was halted mid-round for two hours due to inclement weather, but the entire field was able to conclude the second round.

A senior from Alpharetta, Ga. Morlan birdied No. 4 and turned at 1-over.  He added four additional birdies on the back for a team-high five birdies and led Furman with a 1-under 71 in the tournament's second round.

Junior Harris Barth (+1) is tied for 29th after posting a 75 with three birdies in four holes from No. 14 through No. 17, while junior Clark Akers (+3) recorded a 74 with four birdies, including consecutive birdies on No. 6 and No. 7, tying for 37th.

Senior Trey Diehl (+4) carded a 75 with birdies on No. 4 and No. 15 on Monday to tie for 45th, while junior Zach Frazer (+13) added a 79 with three birdies to tie for 88th.

Duke's Ethan Evans (-9) holds a three-stroke lead entering Tuesday's final round after posting scores of 69-66=135 over the first 36 holes. 

Auburn (-14) extended its lead to nine strokes on Monday.  Duke (-5) and Louisville (-5) are tied for second, followed by Baylor (-2) in fourth.  Wake Forest (+2) completes the top five.  Furman (+8) is tied for ninth with Kent State (+8), just one stroke back of sixth place and ahead of Power 5 opponent Missouri (+14 - 13th place), among others.

The 54-hole tournament concludes on Tuesday starting at 8:05 a.m.  The Paladins will tee off on No. 10 beginning at 8:05 a.m. and will play in a group with North Florida and Nevada.  Admission is free and fans are welcome.  Results and live tournament scoring are available via https://results.golfstat.com/public/leaderboards/gsnav.cfm?pg=team&tid=29377.
