GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The 23rd-ranked Furman men's cross country team will compete at the USC Upstate Invite Saturday at the Roger Milliken Center in Spartanburg, S.C.
The 8K race is set to begin at 9:45 a.m., and live results will be available at https://live.timinginc.com/meets/79420.
Juniors Colin Eckerman and Ryan Smith, sophomore Ben Winn, and freshmen Connor Demmerle, Chappell Martin, Evan Spreitzer, Lucas Tanner will compete for the Paladins.
Last week the Paladin men placed 16th in a highly ranked field at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational in Madison, Wis. Senior Chris Knight recorded a time of 23:19.7 to lead Furman in 36th place, while sophomore Ty Jones finished 47th with a time of 23:33.2.
Both Paladin teams were picked to win their 14th-straight SoCon titles in 2026. The Furman men, who claimed six of the top seven individual spots and scored 20 points last year, extended their league record for consecutive SoCon team titles — a distinction the Paladins claimed in 2023.
