GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman women's tennis team will conclude its three-match SoCon road swing Tuesday at Mercer. First serve is set for 2:30 p.m. at the Copelan Tennis Complex in Macon, Ga.
The Paladins boast a 10-4 overall record and 2-0 SoCon mark after defeating Western Carolina (6-0) and UNCG (7-0) last week to open league play. Freshmen Lillie Murphy and Elle Warren, who competed at the NCAA Doubles Championship in the fall, are ranked 31st nationally in doubles, while freshmen Sasha Dimitrov and Murphy are ranked 43rd nationally after notching spring wins over Iowa and Austin Peay.
Mercer enters Tuesday's match at 7-8 overall and 0-1 in league play. The Bears dropped their SoCon opener, 4-3, at Samford on Friday before falling to UAB, 4-1, on Saturday. Furman leads the all-time series, 12-0, after defeating Mercer, 6-1, last season in Greenville.
