GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman's Elle Warren has been named the Southern Conference women's tennis player of the week for all matches played from March 24-30, the conference announced on Tuesday.  The award is selected by the league office.

Warren, who also won the honor on Jan. 27, picked up four wins over two matches for Furman last week.  On March 24, the freshman from Canton, Ohio, combined with Lillie Murphy for a 6-2 doubles win at flight one, before capturing a 6-1, 6-0, singles victory at flight two as the Paladins defeated Mercer, 7-0.  Against Samford on March 29, Warren and Murphy, who are the 31st-ranked tandem in the country, won, 6-1, in the top-seeded doubles contest, and Warren was victorious, 6-2, 7-5, at flight one singles as Furman got a 5-2 win over the Bulldogs.

Furman will entertain Wofford today at 3 p.m.
