Four Paladins Collect SoCon Postseason Honors

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Four Furman men's tennis players earned All-Southern Conference recognition on Wednesday afternoon as the league announced its postseason awards.

Sophomore Nico Snyder (San Juan, Puerto Rico) was named second team All-SoCon singles while earning second team All-SoCon doubles accolades along with teammate Nicolas Dispas (Biot, France). Landon Ecarma (Louisville, Ky.) and Finn Pollard (Evanston, Ill.) both garnered SoCon All-Freshman Team citations.

Snyder played at the top singles position in 2026 and finished the regular season tied for first on the team with eight wins including three against conference opponents. All eight of his singles victories came at the No. 1 position including a straight-set triumph against 73rd-ranked Samford. Snyder also picked up SoCon wins over Mercer and Wofford. He was named SoCon Player of the Week on February 17.

The duo of Dispas and Snyder finished with a team best 10 doubles wins playing at the No. 1 spot. The tandem went 4-3 in the Southern Conference and closed out the regular season going 7-3. Dispas and Snyder picked up one ranked win this season, a 6-3 victory over Dayton's 77th-ranked pair of Kyle McNally and Sturle Skigelstrand. They recorded league wins versus UNC Greensboro, Mercer, The Citadel, and Wofford.

Ecarma concluded his rookie campaign tied for third on the team with seven singles wins and totaled four versus SoCon opponents. He played at No. 4, No. 5, and No. 6 singles, registering four of his victories competing at No. 6. Ecarma logged singles wins over UNC Greensboro, Mercer, Chattanooga, and The Citadel. In doubles, his 10 wins tied for second-most on the team and won a team high six conference matches. He finished the season going 7-3 over his final 10 matches.

Pollard primarily played doubles during his freshman season and went 9-7 with teammate Alex Han. He captured eight of his nine doubles wins at No. 3 and one at No. 2. The duo went 4-2 in the SoCon with victories against UNC Greensboro, Mercer, The Citadel, and East Tennessee State. In singles, Pollard picked up a straight-set win at No. 5 against Emmanuel (Ga.).

The 2026 Southern Conference Men's Tennis Championship begins Thursday at the Champions Club in Chattanooga, Tenn. The Paladins (8-14, 4-3 SoCon) enter the tournament as the No. 5 seed and will take on No. 4 Mercer (9-12, 4-3 SoCon) Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m. Fans can follow the action on www.furmanpaladins.com via live stats. Furman and Mercer will be meeting for the 18th time in program history with the Paladins owning a 14-3 advantage in the all-time series. Furman earned a 5-2 victory over the Bears in Macon, Ga., on March 17.

Tickets for the 2026 Southern Conference Men's Tennis Championship is $10 for a day pass. Admission for children 5 and under is free. SoCon students with a valid ID also receive free admission.
