Furman Hosts #60 East Tennessee State On Monday

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Furman men's tennis team returns to Mickel Tennis Center Monday afternoon when it hosts 60th-ranked East Tennessee State in Southern Conference play at 1 p.m.

The Paladins (7-13, 3-2 SoCon) wrapped up their road schedule on Saturday with a 6-1 defeat at 73rd-ranked Samford. In doubles, Furman captured one match when the No. 2 tandem of Landon Ecarma and Evan Duggal captured their third straight contest with a 6-3 triumph. Nico Snyder picked up the point for the Paladins in singles at No. 1, securing his seventh win of the season, by a score of 6-4, 7-5.

East Tennessee State enters the matchup on a 17-match winning streak and sits at 17-3 overall and 5-0 in the SoCon. The Buccaneers are under the direction of third-year head coach Ricky Rojas.

Furman and East Tennessee State are meeting for the 49th time in program history with the Buccaneers holding a 26-22 advantage in the all-time series. ETSU had won 20 consecutive matches until the Paladins knocked off the Buccaneers, 4-3, in the semifinals of last year's SoCon Men's Tennis Championship.

Furman concludes the regular season Thursday afternoon hosting Wofford at 3 p.m.
