Furman: Versatile player who could be on to fill a variety of roles, including pinch-hitter, designated hitter, first base, and outfield. 2009 -- Earned playing time in 20 games and six starts, primarily at designated hitter...had one start in the outfield and appeared as a pinch-hitter in several contests...hit just .176...belted a three-run home run versus College of Charleston (27-9 loss)...went 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI versus Charlotte (18-3 loss)...delivered a pinch-hit single and later scored in a decisive 12-7, series clinching victory over Georgia Southern. 2008 -- Earned limiting action in 19 games, almost exclusively as a late game pinch runner...went 1-for-6 (.167) and swiped two bases on two attempts...walked and scored a run in a 15-12 loss to Elon. 2007 -- Earned playing time in eight games and registered three starts, all in right field...went 2-for-11 (.182) at the plate...started and delivered an RBI single and sacrifice fly in a 5-3 loss at East Tennessee State...went 1-for-6 and scored a run in a 5-4, 10-inning loss at UAB.

High School: 2006 graduate of Cardinal Mooney (3A) High School...baseball coach was Greg Mullholland...played shortstop and center field...hit .350 with two home runs and 30 RBI in his three-year prep career...also stole 57 bases...batted .375 and swiped 25 bases his senior year after helping his squad to a second place district finish...also played basketball.
