Biography
2019 — Fashioned an impact season in his first campaign with the Paladins, earning second team All-SoCon honors at catcher...started 42 games behind dish, nine contests at designated hitter, and one at third base...hit .278 with nine home runs and 35 RBI...paced the team with 14 doubles and 35 walks...his Paladin debut saw him draw walks in each of his four plate appearances against Morehead State (6-3 loss)...followed that up with three more walks (HR, 3 R) in game two of the series (16-11 win)...hit .306 (11x36) over the first 11 games...beat Ohio State, 11-10, with a 10th inning walk-off home run...homered in three consecutive games (Mar. 27-30) against Winthrop (14-5 win), Gardner-Webb (18-5 win), and The Citadel (5-4 win)...went 4-for-5, drove in four runs, and scored four times in the triumph over Gardner-Webb...delivered a walk-off home run in the ninth inning to beat The Citadel, 5-4...doubled twice and scored three times in a 9-4 series opening win over Western Carolina...registered three-hit, three-RBI outings in back-to-back 11-4 and 13-5 wins over VMI...followed that up with a home run in a three-RBI performance against Wofford (7-3 win).
2018 — Saw duty at catcher...played in 42 games at Florence-Darlingon Tech and hit .355 with seven home runs and 38 RBI...helped lead his squad to a 43-14 season and 13 wins in the club’s final 15 games.
2017 — Saw action in three early season games in his lone season at Coastal Carolina, pinch-hitting twice and coming off the bench to play first base in one contest.
High School: 2016 graduate of Belton Honea-Path (3A) High School, where he was a teammate of Paladin senior third baseman Jake Crawford...coach was Steve Williams...served as catcher and also played first base...named first team American Family Insurance All-South Carolina (all divisions) by USA TODAY... two-time South Carolina Baseball Coaches Association All-State selection as a junior and senior...rated the No. 41 prospect in South Carolina by PerfectGame.org...selected to play in the South Carolina-North Carolina Select All-Star Game...batted .437 with 26 RBI in 31 games as a junior, clubing eight doubles, three triples and three home runs in helping BHP to the 2015 state championship...belted a home run in the 12th inning in 3-2 win over Hartsville and had seven hits in the two-day, state championship series... earned his first of three Anderson Independent All-Area honor scrolls as sophomore after hitting .412 with a home run, 15 RBI, and 14 runs scored.
