Furman:  Highly regarded young player who will look to move from catcher to pitcher this spring as the Paladins’ likely closer...expected to serve as a backup to projected starting catcher Paul Nitto...transition to pitching role actually began late last year and became a priority following a solid season of summer ball with the Spartanburg Blue Eagles of the Southern Collegiate Baseball League, where he served as a starting pitcher and earned league all-star honors while leading his squad to a western division championship.  2010 — Fashioned a solid freshman campaign as Furman’s primary catcher...registered action in 49 games and earned 44 starts as the Paladins’ receiver...batted .258 with eight home runs and 31 RBI...belted a ninth inning walk-off home run  to beat Davidson, 6-5, in Greenville...homered in a 10-9 win over Georgia in Athens, giving Furman its first win over the Bulldogs in Athens since 1925...went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in a 6-3 triumph over Appalachian State in Boone, and cracked both two-run and three-run home runs for a career high five RBI in a 14-6 thrashing of Wofford in Greenville...threw an innning of scoreless ball (1 K) against Michigan State (8-6  loss) in his first collegiate game and in all made four mound appearances, compiling a 4.50 ERA (4 IP).

High School:  2009 graduate of Dorman (4A) High School along with Paladin sophomore second baseman Will Muzika...coach was Ben Waddle...saw action as a catcher and pitcher...helped lead Dorman to region and district championships his senior year...played summer ball with the Upstate Mavericks.
