2012 — Put together an outstading freshman campaign, going 6-0 with a 3.61 ERA and seven saves...named to the Southern Conference All-Freshman and Collegiate Baseball/Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America squads...worked almost exclusively in a closer’s role but made three starts and picked up wins in all three....first two starts were designated — a 7-5 decision over Presbyterian (4.0 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 1 BB, 1 K) and 5-4 triumph over Georgia (3.0 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 4 BB, 2 K)...third start was his finest outing of the season (8.0 IP, 10 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 0 BB, 8 K) in 13-4 Southern Conference elimination game rout of league regular season champion and No. 1 seed Appalachian State...yielded three runs on five hits in first frame against ASU before settling down to surrender only one unearned run over his final seven innings...ranked third on the squad in appearances (31)...allowed runs in only six of his 28 relief appearances...seven saves ranked tied for fourth highest season tally in Furman history...recorded saves in three consecutive outings: vs. Miami of Ohio (8-6 win), Gardner-Webb (6-4 win), and Toledo (9-5 win)...delivered a season high five innings of one-hit relief (1 BB, 2 K) to earn the victory in an 8-6, 12-inning road triumph at The Citadel...was superb (1.1 IP, 0 H, 1 BB, 3 K) in earning the save in a 6-2 win over Georgia Southern...came back the next day to collect the win (2.0 IP, 2 H, 0 R) in a 9-8 series winning triumph over the Eagles.
