Biography

2013 — Made 10 apeparances, including three starts and seven in relief…went 2-3 with a 7.94 ERA and two saves…picked up wins against USC Upstate in his first start of the season (4.0 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 3 BB, 4 K)….fashioned perhaps his most effective performance of the season, coming out of the bullpen (5.2 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 4 K) to earn the victory in a 14-10 triumph over The Citadel…pitched a inning of no-hit relief (1 K) to register his first save in a 5-3 win over Georgia Southern…second save (4.0 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 3 K) came in an 8-5 win at Gardner-Webb.

2012 — Earned notable work in his first season as a Paladin...ranked fourth on the staff with 25 appearances, with all but one coming in relief...went 1-2 and recorded one save...notched his victory in relief (1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB) vs. USC Upstate (10-7 win)...recorded the final two outs to preserve a 9-8 win over UNCG and register his first save...twirled a stretch of 4 1/3 innings of scoreless ball (1 H, 1 BB, 2 K) over five appearances from Mar. 28-April 6...lone start (and first loss) came against Clemson (2.1 IP, 3 H, 6 R, 5 ER, 4 BB, 2 K) at Fluor Field...struck out three in a pair of games:  vs. Miami of Ohio (12-11 loss) and Appalachian State (6-5 loss)...transfer from Louisiana-Lafayette who joined the program in the fall of 2011....signed with Tulane in November of 2009 but was released from his commitment following a coaching change...later signed with Louisiana-Lafayette before coming to Furman.

High School:  2010 graduate of Jesuit College Preparatory School in Dallas, Texas...pitched and also played first and third base...went 5-3 with a 2.26 ERA his senior year, registering 42 strikeouts and 17 walks in 34 innings...earned first team all-district honors...named 2009 Rawlings preseason All-American...hit .388 and was named team offensive MVP his junior year...ranked among the nation’s Top 200 high school prospects by Perfect Game...was invited to both the 2009 Area Code Game and 2009 MLB Texas Scouts Association All-Star Game...attended Holy Cross High School in New Orleans before spending a year at Northlake Christian following Hurricane Katrina...moved to Dallas after his freshman season.
