Furman: Heads into preseason practice in a three-way battle with Trey McCray and Colin Anderson for the starting tight end job vacated by the graduation of All-Southern Conference performer Chris Truss....transferred into Furman in the summer of 2009 following two seasons at Middle Tennessee State. 2009 — Appeared in five games as a reserve tight end...caught a three-yard touchdown pass in the Paladins’ 58-21 season ending victory over Wofford. Middle Tennessee State — Lettered twice...appeared in all 24 games in 2007 & ‘08, earning 12 starts at fullback...also saw extensive action on special teams...attended United States Military Academy Prep School for one year prior to going to Middle Tennessee State.
High School: 2005 graduate of St. Pius X High School...football coach was Paul Standard...three-year starter at offensive guard...also played defensive end...served as team captain his senior year...registered 41 tackles, including 11 for-loss, three sacks, and two fumble recoveries...as a junior helped St. Pius to a 10-3 record — the school’s best season in 38 years...also played basketball and competed in track, specializing in the shot put.
