Furman:  Proved to be perhaps the biggest surprise among all wide receivers in spring practice...can play all three positions...appears set to claim a spot in the receiving rotation...began his career at quarterback. 2010 — Registered action in all 11 games as a reserve receiver...caught two passes for 18 yards, including a season long 12-yard reception versus The Citadel (31-14 win)...named to the SoCon Academic Honor Roll.  2009 — Served in a reserve capacity...caught three passes for 33 yards and had two rushes for 18 yards...collected two receptions for 23 yards versus Presbyterian (45-21 win).   2008 — Scout team quarterback...awarded redshirt and extra year of eligibility...recipient of Furman’s Purple Pounder Award (Scout Team Player of the Year)...named to the SoCon Academic Honor Roll.

High School:  2008 graduate of Northwestern (4A) High School...football coach was Jimmy Wallace...passed for 3,395 yards and 41 touchdowns in 2007 in helping NHS to a 12-2 record, region crown, and No. 3 state ranking...named South Carolina Football Coaches Association Upper State Offensive Back-of-the-Year...Charlotte Observer All-State...threw six TDs in playoffs versus Irmo...member of three region title baseball teams...batted .390 and earned all-region honors as a shortstop in 2008...played in North-South All-Star Game...recipient of Academic Excellence Award.
