Junior year (2018-19): Wilson recorded a 12-7 overall singles record and went 4-2 versus SoCon competition, playing primarily at flight two. He opened the season with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over S.C. State then won five-straight from February 9, a 1-6, 6-4, 1-0(10-3) win versus USC Upstate, through March 1, a 3-6, 4-6, 6-4 come from behind victory against Georgia Southern. Wilson held off Wofford, 6-3, 3-6, 7-6, and recorded a crucial point with a 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 win in Furman’s 4-2 victory over Mercer on April 8. He posted a straight-sets victory over Mercer in the SoCon semifinals, helping the Paladins advance to the championship match. In doubles action, Wilson teamed with teamed with Jake Bhangdia at flight two. The Paladin duo posted a 13-2 overall record and 5-2 league mark and put together an eight-match winning streak mid-season. Bhangia and Wilson won five-straight matches to conclude the season, holding off both Samford and Mercer, 6-4, and beating UNCG and Mercer in the SoCon tournament. Wilson was named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.
Sophomore year (2017-18): Wilson scored a 4-2 overall singles record and perfect 3-0 SoCon mark, playing at flights five and six. He posted three-consecutive wins over Samford, Wofford, and Mercer during the regular season then held on for a 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 victory versus ETSU in the finals of the SoCon Championships. In doubles action, Wilson posted a 5-9 overall record. He teamed with Trevor Croyder to beat Valparaiso, Chattanooga, and UNC Greensboro during the regular season and paired with Jake Bhangdia for a 7-5 advantage over Mercer in the semifinals of the SoCon Championships. Wilson was named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.
Freshman year (2016-17): Wilson was selected to the Southern Conference All-Freshman team after posting a 15-8 overall singles record and 5-2 league mark. He played most matches at flight three and won seven of nine matches beginning with a 6-2, 3-6, 1-0 victory over Loyola Marymount on Feb. 4 and continuing through March 5 when he beat Coastal Carolina, 7-6(3), 6-2. Wilson reeled off five-straight wins later in the season, topping Duquesne, Samford, The Citadel, Wofford, and Chattanooga. He concluded the regular season with a 6-1, 6-4 advantage of 35th-ranked Georgia State then beat The Citadel, 6-1, 6-4, in the semifinals of the Southern Conference tournament. In doubles play, Wilson teamed primarily with Trevor Croyder at the flight three position. The Paladin duo opened the season with a seven-match winning streak, which began with a 7-6(5) victory at Harvard. Later in the season Wilson teamed with Jake Bhangdia for win sover Butler, Duquesne, and UNC Greensboro. Beginning March 24, Croyder and Wilson won seven of eight matches, culminating with a 6-1 advantage over The Citadel in the quarterfinals of the SoCon Tournament. Overall, Wilson went 20-4 in doubles, including a 6-1 SoCon record.
Prep/Personal: Clarke Wilson earned a career-high ranking of 12th among the Canadian U18s and eighth among U18s in Ontario. The U18 Ontario Provincial singles champion, twice he recorded a fourth-place finish at the U16 Canadian nationals then placed fourth at the U18 Canadian nationals for singles. Clarke Wilson was born on December 15, 1998, in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. He is the son of Fiona and Tim Wilson. He is studying business administration.
