Josh Pistorius Career Records

Junior year (2016-17): Pistorius went 3-7 overall in singles and 1-0 in doubles play.  He scored a 6-4, 6-1 win over Elon at flight six singles and defeated Erskine, 6-0, 6-4, at flight four.  Pistorius played at flight six against Liberty, notching a 6-3, 6-0 victory.  In doubles, he teamed with Jake Bhangdia for a 6-2 win over Erskine.

Sophomore year (2015-16): Pistorius earned a spot on the Southern Conference All-Freshman Team after notching a 10-11 overall singles record and 5-2 league mark, playing primarily at flight five.  He scored regular-season SoCon victories over Chattanooga, the Citadel, Samford, UNCG, and Mercer then beat UNCG, 7-6(2), 6-1, in the opening round of the Southern Conference Championships.  Pistorius teamed primarily with Adam Steryous in doubles, where he put together a 10-3 overall mark and 5-1 SoCon record at flight three.  The Paladin duo teamed up for a 7-6(2) win at #54 Duke in February, which was the start of a six-match winning streak that lasted through most of March.

Freshman year (2014-15):  Pistorius did not see action for the Paladins. 

Prep/Personal:  Josh Pistorius competed for coaches Miles Sheldon and Chris Eaton and completed his prep career at Cheam, where he helped his team to the National School Finals.  He earned the Endeavor Awards from the British Tennis Association in 2014.  Pistorius reached the 2 G4 ITF quarterfinals in the summer of 2014 and represented his county, Surrey, in the county cup.  Josh Pistorius was born on Feburary 10, 1997, in Johannesburg, South Africa, to Warwick and Kathryn Pistorius.  He plans to study communications.
