Jason Smith Career Records
Sophomore Year (2020-21): Smith competed in both singles and doubles against Charlotte. He was named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll and the ITA All-Academic Team.
Freshman Year (2019-20): Smith competed in one match for the Paladins as a freshman. He scored a 6-0, 6-0 singles victory versus North Greenville at flight six then teamed with Charlie Meyerson for a 6-0 win against the Crusaders at flight three doubles. Smith was named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll and the ITA All-Academic Team.
Prep/Personal: Smith, who competed at James F. Byrnes High School, was a four-time all-region honoree and a three-time All-State team selection. The winner of the 2017 state championship sportsmanship award, Smith was chosen team MVP four consecutive years. He was a member of the National Honor Society and was president of the Spanish National Honors Society. Jason Smith was born on December 30, 2000, in Spartanburg, S.C. He is the son of Wilson and Andrea Smith. He is studying health sciences and pre-medicine.
