Sophomore Year (2009-10): Placed fourth in the high jump at the indoor Tiger Tune Up with a mark of 6-4.38...recorded a personal-best time of 54.45 to finish 17th in the 400m at the SoCon Indoor Championships...also placed 17th in the 200m with a time of 23.84 at the SoCon Outdoor Championships...won the high jump at the Furman Outdoor Invitational with a personal-best mark of 6-2...placed fifth in the high jump at the Southern Conference Outdoor Championships with a jump of 6-1...recorded a mark of 144-1 for an eighth-place finish at the Western Carolina Invitational...named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll. 

Freshman Year (2008-09): Did not compete during the 2008-09 season.

Personal: Brian James Toney was born on Oct. 22, 1990, in Homer, N.Y....son of Mary and Greg Toney...majoring in environmental chemistry.
