Biography

Junior Year (2013-14):  Recorded a career-best 24.14 in the 200m to open the indoor season at the Emory Crossplex Invitational…finished tenth in the long jump (4.79m) and 14th in the 200m (24.68) at the High Point Indoor Team Challenge…posted a 17th-place finish with a mark of 5.08 in the long jump at the league indoor meet…placed 22nd with a time of 24.76 in the 200m at the Blue Shoes Outdoor Invitational…tied his career-best after running the 200m in 23.66 at the SoCon Outdoor Championships…named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.

Sophomore Year (2012-13):  A member of the Paladin 4x400m relay team that placed fifth with a time of 3:28.3 at the Emory Crossplex Indoor Invitational…recorded a jump of 5.09 in the long jump at the same meet, claiming 22nd place…posted a time of 24.75 in the 200m at the Wake Forest Indoor Invitational…notched season-best times of 11.88 in the 100m and 23.8 in the 200m at the Blue Shoes Outdoor Track Invitational…competed on the Furman 4x100m relay team that placed fifth with a time of 42.93 at the SoCon Outdoor Championships…finished 13th with a time of 24.05 in the 200m at the league outdoor meet.

Freshman Year (2011-12): Named to the Southern Conference All-Freshman Team for his performance in the 200m at both the indoor and outdoor league meets…placed 18th with a time of 24.26 in the 200m at the SoCon Indoor Championships…posted a time of 24.89 in the event at the ETSU indoor meet…finished third with a time of 23.78 in the 200m and ninth with a time of 11.87 in the 100m at the Furman Outdoor Invitational…recorded a season-best time of 23.66 in the 200m at the SoCon Outdoor Championships…notched a season-best mark of 20-6.25 (6.25) in the long jump at the Furman Outdoor Invitational, claiming fourth place.

High School:  Set a new personal record with a time of 11.56 in the 100m finals at the TSSAA Division II regionals his senior year…awarded his team’s Coaches Award as a junior…set a personal record of 23.8 in the 200m his junior season…voted Vice President of his Senior Class…also competed as a member of the golf team and basketball team…participated in Youth Leadership Franklin as a junior.

Personal:  Carson Goodwin Priest was born on December 30, 1992 in Nashville, Tenn.…son of John and Clara Priest…majoring in political science.
