Freshman Year (2009-10): Member of the Furman football team...posted a personal-best time of 7.57 in the 60m at the Tiger Paw Indoor Invitational...finished third with a personal-best time of 11:61 in the 100m at the Furman Outdoor Invitational.

High School: Played strong safety and wide receiver at Montgomery Bell (Division II 2A) Academy...totaled 79 tackles, six interceptions, and seven pass deflections in a career that saw him miss almost two full seasons due to knee injuries...enjoyed an injury free 2007 campaign, totaling 67 tackles, six pickoffs, and seven pass breakups while helping MBA to a 13-0 record and state championship...registered a pair of interceptions and was named Defensive MVP in MBA’s 12-0 state title Blue Cross Bowl win over Brentwood Academy...2007 Tennessee Sportswriters Association All-State selection and Tennessean first team All-Midstate honoree.
