Freshman Year (2013-14):  Posted a mark of 9.94m to take 15th place in the triple jump at the Southern Conference Indoor Championships…recorded an indoor season-best time of 1:04.05 in the 400m at the Emory Crossplex Invitational…placed eighth in the 400m hurdles (1:07.30) and ninth in the triple jump (10.30m) at the Blue Shoes Invitational during the outdoor season…tallied a season-best time of 1:07.28 to claim 14th place in the 400m hurdles at the league outdoor championships…placed 13th with a mark of 9.90m in the trip jump at the SoCon outdoor meet…named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.

High School:  Helped Notre Dame Academy to the Division 2 State Championship for indoor and outdoor track her senior year…member of the indoor 4x200m relay team that won a division championship, placed third at the all-state meet, and finished 10th in the Emerging Elite section at the New Balance Indoor Nationals…ran on the outdoor 4x100m relay team that won a Division 2 State Championship and placed seventh in the Emerging Elite division at the New Balance Outdoor Nationals…competed on the state championship heptathlon team…honored as a Patriot Ledger All-Scholastic Athlete, a Catholic Conference All-Star, and a Dual County Conference All-Star…chosen the MIAA Student Athlete of the Month for December 2012…set school records in the pentathlon, triple jump, and 400m hurdles…voted vice president of the NDA Neuroscience Network.

Personal:  Shauna Alise Owen was born on September 8, 1994, in Weymouth, Mass….daughter of Mark and Joanne Owen…father, Mark, was a member of the Furman swim team…intends to study biology/pre-medicine.
