Named after Percy Cerutty, the eccentric Australian athletics coach who pioneered a home-spun system of "Stotan" training, embracing a holistic regime of natural diets, hard training in natural surroundings, and mental stimulation.

Percy Cerutty coached Herb Elliott to a series of world record performances, culminating in an Olympic gold medal in the 1960 Rome Games.

Puppy Cerutty works alongside the Furman cross country and track staff to provide a unique skill set at practice that focuses on fetching, slobbering, and getting filthy.

He also enjoy stealing wet snacks at the end of practice.
