Jaylan Reid''s Personal Bests

Sophomore Year (2016-17):   Won the shot put with a throw of 54-1.25 at the SoCon Outdoor Championships…placed third with a mark of 52-4.75 in the shot put at the USC Outdoor Open.

Freshman Year (2015-16):   Named to the SoCon All-Freshman team and the All-SoCon team after placing second with a throw of 53-5 in the shot put at the SoCon Outdoor Championships…finished third in the shot put at the Beynon Catamount Outdoor Classic, posting a mark of 50-3.25…recorded a throw of 52-6 for fourth place in the shot put at the Georgia Tech Outdoor Invitational...also named to the SoCon All-Freshman team as a member of the Paladin football team...put together a solid inaugural season, earning playing time in all 11 games and starts at defensive tackle in six contests.

High School:  Captured state championship in the shot put as a junior with throw of 56’ 2”...placed fifth in the state in the discus.
