Furman University

Junior Year (2023-24):  Thomas joined the Furman team as a junior and was named to the All-SoCon second team for both singles (flight four) and doubles (flight three).  She went a perfect 7-0 in league singles matches, playing at flights three and four.  Thomas scored nonconference victories over Liberty, Florida Atlantic, and North Florida then put together eight-straight wins, including seven-consecutive straight-set victories, beginning with Quinnipiac on March 11 and continuing through the end of the regular season, where she defeated No. 64 ETSU, 2-6, 6-2, 6-2.  In doubles, Thomas teamed with Maeve Thornton and played primarily at flight three.  The Paladin duo won their last ten decisions beginning with a 6-1 victory over No. 35 Wake Forest on March 10.  In the SoCon tournament, Thomas and Thornton went 3-0, beating Western Carolina (6-1), Samford (7-6(2), and ETSU (7-5).  In the league regular season, the duo held off UNC Greensboro, 7-6(6), and Chattanooga, 7-6(5) in tiebreakers.  Thomas was named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll and the CSC Academic All-District Team and was honored as an ITA Scholar-Athlete. 

Freshman Year (2021-22) & Sophomore Year (2022-23):  Thomas competed at Texas her freshman and sophomore years.  During her time on the team, the Longhorns won the 2022 national team championship and claimed Big 12 championships during both her freshman and sophomore seasons.  Thomas compiled a 6-3 singles record in 2022-23 with key victories over Stanford, Texas Tech, Tennessee, and Miami, and scored Power 5 doubles wins versus Texas Tech, Miami, N.C. State, and Vanderbilt.  An ITA Scholar-Athlete, Thomas was a member of the 2021-22 Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team and earned the University of Texas College of Natural Sciences Excellence Award.

Prep/Personal:  Thomas obtained a UTR (Universal Tennis Rating) of 8 and competed in the 2019 ITF J4 Tournament in Brisbane.  She is majoring in neuroscience.
