Junior Year (2011-12): Porter spent the spring semester working as an Investigative Intern at the Office of the Public Defender in Washington, D.C. as a part of the Furman political science department’s foreign study program.
Sophomore Year (2010-11): Porter recorded a 1-2 overall singles mark and a 0-1 record against league opponents, playing in the four and six spots. She posted a 2-6, 6-0, 1-0 (10-4) come-from-behind victory at number six singles against Georgia Southern mid-season. Porter notched a 0-1 doubles record overall and against SoCon foes.
Freshman Year (2009-10): Porter notched a 2-0 singles mark and 1-0 doubles record as a freshman for the Paladins. She notched victories over Presbyterian and Western Carolina at the number six singles position. Porter teamed with Brooke Mosteller for a win over Presbyterian at number three doubles.
Prep/Personal: Jenny Porter played under coach Jerilyn Scardina at Hinsdale Central High, where she compiled a 72-14 record and led her team to three state championships. She earned all-conference honors as a senior for doubles play. Jennifer Marta Porter was born on February 16, 1991, in Uccle, Belgium. She is the daughter of Richard and Marta Porter. Her father played tennis at Trinity University. Jenny is undecided on her major.
