Freshman year (2026-27):  Murphy became just the third SoCon women's tennis athlete to win both player of the year and freshman of the year in the same season.  She was named to the All-SoCon first team for both singles and doubles and was honored as a member of the SoCon All-Freshman team.  Murphy tallied a 16-4 overall singles record and a perfect 7-0 mark in league matches.  She played primarily at flight two, where she notched a 12-3 record, but she moved to flight one for three regular season conference matches, fashioning an unblemished 3-0 mark at the top spot.  Murphy recorded key Power 4 victories over Wake Forest (6-2, 6-2) and Virginia Tech (6-2, 6-2) then beat all seven conference regular season opponents in straight sets.  In the regular season finale, Murphy defeated ETSU, 6-2, 6-3, to help the Paladins clinch the league’s regular season title.  Playing at flight one doubles, Murphy went 15-3 overall and 7-0 in SoCon play.  She teamed with Sasha Dimitrov early in the season, with the Paladin duo achieving a national ranking as high as 16th, then teamed with Elle Warren in March and April to rank as high as 31st nationally.  Murphy and Warren, who finished third at the ITA Conference Masters Championship to advance to the NCAA Doubles Championship in the fall, went 13-1 at flight one in spring dual matches, posting a .929 doubles winning percentage, the fourth best in Furman history.  An ITA Scholar-Athlete, Murphy was also named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.
