Josh Basha has been part of the Furman athletic department since 2019. He was promoted to Assistant Athletics Director for Facilities & Game Operations in 2025 after previously serving as Assistant Director of Facilities & Game Operations and Director of Facilities & Game Operations.

His primary responsibilities include game operations with football, volleyball, men’s and women’s soccer, softball, and women’s lacrosse. Basha is the primary liaison for the Greenville Triumph, the Upstate’s professional soccer team, who play their home matches in Paladin Stadium. He also served as Tournament Director for both the 2022 SoCon Volleyball Tournament, 2022 NCAA FCS 1st Round playoff game and 2023 NCAA FCS 2nd Round playoff game on Furman’s campus. Along with his game operations responsibilities, he oversees capital projects and renovations within athletic facilities.

Basha has played a pivotal role in hosting the first and second rounds of the Men’s NCAA March Madness Tournament in 2021 and the Women’s Basketball NCAA Regional in 2022. 
 
Prior to coming to Furman, he completed internships with both the University of South Carolina athletic department and Greenville Drive. He has also worked for the Carolina Panthers, Greenville Drive, and Greenville Triumph.

Other experiences include helping the University of South Carolina host the first & second rounds of the NCAA Tournament in 2019. He has worked at the SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament and Wells Fargo Golf Championship in 2019, the Charleston Classic Basketball Tournament in 2019 and 2021, Famous Toastery Bowl in 2023, and the Champions Classic in 2024. 
 
A native of Spartanburg, S.C., Basha earned a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management and minored in Business Administration from North Greenville University in 2019. He received his Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Liberty University in 2021.

He, and his wife Savannah, currently reside in Greenville. They have one son, Bentley, and one daughter, Saylor.
