Todd Duke, a member of the Furman University community since 1997 and Furman’s Heller Service Corp Staff Member of the Year selection for the 2018-19 school year, serves as associate athletics director of facilities and game operations, with direct oversight and management responsibilities for all scheduled events involving Timmons Arena and athletic facilities.

Duke was named to the All-Southern Conference Faculty & Staff in 2020-21 and was tabbed as Furman Staff Member of the Year in 2022-23.

Before becoming a member of the Furman athletic department in 2013, he served as business manager and director of operations for Timmons Arena (1997-04) and later associate director with university conference and event services.

Prior to coming to Furman, he served as director of the Lea County Cultural Center/Lea County Fairgrounds in Hobbs, New Mexico (1995-97), assistant director of campus events office at Clemson University (1992-95), and tour accountant for Rocky Steady Management (1991-92).

A 1985 honor graduate of New Mexico State University with a bachelor of science degree in physical education, he worked for his alma mater in several roles as an undergraduate and later as a graduate assistant with the NMSU’s Pan American Center Department of Special Events and manager of Aggie Memorial Stadium (1988-91).

Duke also managed the merchandise accounting for Janet Jackson’s 1990 Rhythm Nation World Tour, and served as promoter tour accountant for the 1990 Luther Vandross Power of Love Tour.

From 1985-88 he served as sports and facilities coordinator from the City of Peoria (Ariz.) Parks & Recreation Department.

Duke also holds a master’s degree in public administration from New Mexico State.

In addition to his Furman work duties, he has served as faculty advisor to Furman’s chapter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes since 2015.

He and his wife, Christine, have four children: Dru (Furman ‘18) , Shannon (Furman ‘20), Philip, and Michael.
