Furman's Lady Paladin volleyball team moved to 12-12 on the year Tuesday night with a 31-29, 30-23, 30-13 victory over Gardner-Webb in non-conference action in Boiling Springs, N.C.
After struggling to a two-point win in game one, the Lady Paladins found their rhythm and earned a seven-point win in game two and a 17-point victory in the third game.
Ally Hock paced the Lady Paladins with 12 kills on the night, while Julia Fredrickson added 10. Freshmen Celeste Wilson and Chibuzo Aguocha were each in on six blocks, leading Furman to an 11.0 to 3.0 blocking advantage on the night. Molly Rybak and Courtney Stewardson shared setting duties, totaling 22 and 15 assists, respectively.
Furman returns to action in the Southern Conference Friday night with a 7 p.m. home contest against The Citadel. The Lady Paladins will host the league-leading College of Charleston at noon on Saturday Both matches will be played in Alley Gym, located in the Furman Athletics Building.
