STATESBORO, Georgia - Furman's Lady Paladin volleyball team fell to 5-9 overall and 1-3 in the Southern Conference with a 3-0 (30-18, 30-16, 30-20) loss Saturday at Georgia Southern.

Whitney Purser led the Lady Paladin attack with nine kills and also contributed six digs, but the Eagles outhit Furman .400 to .060. Iulia Porumbescu paced GSU with 13 kills and a .458 attack percentage.

Furman returns to action on the volleyball court Tuesday with a 7 p.m. match at Western Carolina.
