Box Score Furman vs. The Citadel Game Notes
Greenville, S.C. – Furman will conclude a three-game homestand and look to return to the win column when it hosts arch rival The Citadel on Saturday afternoon at Timmons Arena. Tip-off against the Bulldogs is slated for 4 p.m.
The Paladins are 10-4 overall and 2-1 in the Southern Conference after having their five-game home winning streak dashed with a 76-72 loss to College of Charleston at Timmons Arena on Thursday. Senior Andrew Goudelock poured in 31 points, just two shy of the arena record, and scored six in the final 41 seconds to help the Cougars hold off Furman. Senior Amu Saaka tallied a season-high 27 points and seven rebounds for Furman.
The Citadel dropped to 5-10 overall and 1-2 in the league with its 78-60 loss at Wofford on Thursday evening. Matt Groselle, a sophomore center, led the Bulldogs with 19 points and 16 rebounds, but The Citadel shot below 40% from the field against the defending SoCon champions.
Saturday's game marks the 193rd all-time meeting between Furman and The Citadel with the Paladins holding a 111-81 series advantage. The Paladins topped The Citadel 59-44 at Timmons Arena in the last meeting between the teams on February 25, 2010. Furman is 10-2 against the Bulldogs at Timmons and has won 14 of the last 19 overall against its rival.

The All-Inclusive Ticket, "IT", costs $12 for a lower level reserved seat and $8 for an upper level general admission seat. The ticket entitles fans to unlimited trips to the Timmons Arena concession stands for hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, popcorn and sodas.
