Game Notes

Greenville, S.C. – The Furman volleyball team (10-5, 4-1 SoCon) looks to bounce back this weekend as it plays host to SoCon-leading Chattanooga (15-2, 4-0 SoCon) on Friday before traveling to UNCG (11-8, 1-3 SoCon) on Saturday.

Furman is coming off of a 3-0 loss at Upstate-rival Wofford on Wednesday night. Annie Bierman led the team with 12 kills and 19 digs, but the Paladins could not overcome the Terriers, dropping their first match since mid-September.

Chattanooga comes to Alley Gym for a 6:00 pm matchup on Friday having won 11-stragith matches, including starting the SoCon season with a perfect 4-0 record. Setter Lauren Greenspoon was named the SoCon Player of the Month for September, and head coach Travis Filar returns to his alma mater to face his former boss.

UNCG started the SoCon season 0-3, before dropping Western Carolina 3-0 last weekend. The Spartans have had a week off prior to welcoming the Paladins to Fleming Gymnasium on Saturday night for a 7:00 p.m. matchup.
