Box Score ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- Jasmine Joyner scored a career high 26 points to power No. 1 seed and 17th-ranked Chattanooga to a 68-55 victory over No. 5 seed Furman in Southern Conference Women's Basketball Tournament semifinal action Friday morning at the U.S. Cellular Center.
The win moves Chattanooga to 28-3 on the season and puts the Mocs in the tournament-championship game for the third-straight season. The loss dropped Furman to 19-13 on the campaign.
Along with her game-high 26-point effort, Joyner added 20 rebounds to complete her eighth double-double peformance of the season. Kieana Gilbert and Ka'Vonne Towns each added 11 points for the Mocs.
Furman was led by senior All-SoCon forward Brittany Hodges, who tallied 21 points and 10 rebounds for her league-leading 12th double-double of the season and 33rd double-double of her career.
After tying a tournament record with seven three-pointers in a 65-54 tournament quarterfinal win over Samford on Thursday, Whitney Bunn added 18 points for the Paladins, including three 3-pointers. Senior Sarah Durdaller was the Paladins' other double-digit scorer with 10 points.
