Spartanburg, S.C. – Furman netted three first half goals, including a pair from senior
Connor Hubbard, on its way to a 4-1 triumph over the Wofford Terriers in Southern Conference men's soccer action Tuesday night at Snyder Field.
With the victory, Furman (10-6-1, 4-1-0 SoCon) The defeat dropped Wofford to 4-11-1 overall and 2-2-1 in SoCon play.
Furman opened the scoring at the 3:11 mark when

Miles Fenton's corner kick past Wofford goalkeeper Grant Wollam for his third goal of the season. In the 15
th minute,
Rocky Guerra slid a pass through the center of the pitch to fellow senior
Connor Hubbard, who rounded the keeper before scoring his first goal of the night. Hubbard scored his second of the match and fourth on the season at the 23:16 mark. Fenton played the ball down the left flank to
Arnor Adalsteinsson and the left back curled a cross inside the six-yard box that Hubbard touched past the Wofford goalkeeper to extend the margin to 3-0.
The Paladins erased any thoughts of a Wofford rally in the 54
th minute by increasing their lead to 4-0 on
Dylan Lane's second score of the campaign.
Shaun-Chris Joash fired a shot across goal that was deflected into the middle of the box and Lane finished with a volley at the 53:14 mark.
Wofford netted a consolation goal in the 88
th minute on a header by Walt Stevens.
Goalkeeper
Max Fisher recorded one save while earning the victory for Furman and Wollam stopped five shots for the Terriers. Furman posted a commanding 14-4 advantage in total shots and 9-2 margin in shots on goal.
The Paladins conclude regular season play on Saturday versus Belmont on Seagraves Field at Stone Stadium. Kickoff for Senior Night is slated for 7 p.m.
