KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. -- After Monday's second round, senior Keller Harper (+3) is tied for 39th to pace the Furman (+17) men's golf team at the Kiawah Classic at the par 72, 6,911 yard Turtle Point Golf Course on Kiawah Island, S.C.

Harper, who hails from Atlanta, Ga., started on No. 10 and birdied No. 13 and No. 14.  He turned at two-over and added a birdie on No. 5 to conclude the round with a 75 on Monday.  

Freshman Ross Funderburke (+9) also added a 75 on Monday with birdies on No. 2 and No. 14 and is tied for 82nd, while senior Matt Lehman (+10, junior Jack Crosby (+10), and freshman Reynolds Lambert (+10) are all tied for 84th entering Tuesday's final round.  Lehman carded a 76 with birdies on No. 15 and No. 17, and Crosby added a 77 with a birdie on No. 5.  Lambert posted a 75, tying Harper with a team-high three birdies.

Sophomore Phil Jones (+18), who is playing as an individual, posted an 81 with consecutive birdies on No. 6 and No. 7 to tie for 110th. 

Auburn's Jovan Rebula (-14) leads the tournament for the second-consecutive day after posting rounds of 64-66=130.  He holds an eight-stroke lead over the field heading into Tuesday's final round.

No. 24 Auburn (-20) extended its lead to 17 strokes with a 282 on Monday.  Augusta (-3) is in second place, followed closely by College of Charleston (-2) in third.  High Point (+3) ranks fourth, while Samford (+8) and Gardner-Webb (+8) are tied for fifth.   

The 54-hole tournament will conclude with a 9 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday.  Furman will tee off of holes No. 13 through 15 and will play in a group with Francis Marion, Presbyterian, and Eastern Kentucky.  Admission is free and fans are welcome.  Results and live tournament scoring are available via www.FurmanPaladins.com and www.golfstat.com.
