Greenville, S.C. – The Furman men's soccer team opens a three-match homestand on Seagraves Field at Stone Stadium when it entertains the 11
th-ranked Charlotte 49ers for a 7 p.m. kickoff on Tuesday.
The match will be streamed live on the SoCon Digital Network with live statistics provided thru StatBroadcast. Links for the live stream and live stats can be found at FurmanPaladins.com.
The first 125 fans in attendance will receive a free Furman Soccer scarf. Tickets for the match are $5 and can be purchased online at FurmanPaladins.com or at the Stone Stadium entrance beginning one hour prior to kickoff.
Tuesday's match marks the 24
th all-time meeting between Furman and Charlotte with the 49ers holding a 13-4-6 series advantage. The schools renewed the series last season with the 49ers claiming a 2-0 victory in Charlotte, N.C.
Furman is coming off of a 3-0 loss at Presbyterian on Saturday night, while the 49ers will be playing for the first time since a 4-0 win over C-USA foe South Carolina last Friday evening.
Following Tuesday's contest, Furman will be idle until a Tuesday, October 8, home match against North Greenville. The Paladins will open Southern Conference play at Stone Stadium versus ETSU on Saturday, October 12, with the annual Quinn Game.
