Greenville, S.C. – The Furman women's lacrosse team will play a total of four Southern Conference matchups in 2021, as well as four against ASUN Conference schools, it was recently announced by the league office.
The Paladins will play a total of eight contests against opponents from the Southern Conference and ASUN Conference. Furman is scheduled for SoCon games versus Coastal Carolina, Mercer, Delaware State and Wofford. In the ASUN, the Paladins are slated to compete against Liberty, Kennesaw State, Jacksonville and Stetson.
Furman opens SoCon play on April 3 at home against league newcomer Coastal Carolina before traveling to Mercer on April 11. After an April 24 matchup at Delaware State, the Paladins close out their regular season on May 1 at Wofford.
The ASUN portion of Furman's schedule consists of three home games beginning on February 27 against Liberty. The Paladins also play Jacksonville on April 16 and Stetson on April 18. The lone road game comes on April 9 at Kennesaw State.
The SoCon Women's Lacrosse Championship semifinal matches will be hosted by Mercer on May 6 at Five Star Stadium in Macon, Ga. The championship match will take place two days later on May 8.
The remainder of Furman's 2021 schedule will also be revealed as soon as it is finalized.
