SEATTLE, WASH. -- Senior Gabbi Jennings posted a personal-best time of 9:11.65 in the 3,000m to pace the Furman indoor track and field team at the Husky Classic in Seattle, Wash., on Friday.
Jennings, whose time ranks among the top 15 nationally this season, took 12th place in a stacked field of professionals and the nation's top collegiate runners.Â
Also on the women's side, senior Savannah Carnahan placed 30th in the 5,000m with a time of 16:32.74, while senior Emma Grace Hurley was 62nd in the event at 17:21.50.
In the men's 5,000m, senior Luke Meade and junior Daniel Bernal each recorded personal bests. Meade knocked 12 seconds off his previous best, posting a time of 14:01.791 for 26th place, while Bernal took nine seconds off his best, crossing the line in 14:05.372 for 30th place.Â
The Paladins will compete at the South Carolina Invitational in Columbia, S.C., and the Alex Wilson Invitational at Notre Dame on Feb. 22.
