Greenville, S.C. – The Furman women's basketball team wraps up a three-game conference road trip on Saturday afternoon when it heads to Mercer for a 2 p.m. tipoff against the Bears inside Hawkins Arena.

Furman (15-8, 5-3 SoCon) knocked off league-leading Samford 72-59 on Thursday in Birmingham, Ala. The Paladins shot a season-high 60.0 percent (27-of-45) from the field highlighted by a 14-for-23 mark in the second half. Furman concluded the game holding a 30-25 advantage in rebounding. The Paladins also led in points in the paint (28-26), points off turnovers (16-11) and fast break points (5-0).
Le'Jzae Davidson led four players in double figures scoring for Furman with 15 points and pulled down a team-high seven rebounds.
Milica Manojlovic recorded 13 points while dishing out seven assists.
Grace van Rij set a new career-high with 12 points while
Taylor Petty scored 10.
Davidson is averaging a team-best 14.3 points per game this season for the Paladins and
Tierra Hodges contributes 11.7 points and leads the team defensively with 9.7 rebounds per contest. Manojlovic dishes out a team-leading 4.8 assists per game.
Mercer enters the matchup with a 5-18 overall record and is 2-6 in conference play following a 54-53 win over Wofford on Thursday evening. The Bears currently have three players averaging in double figures in Jaron Dougherty (15.6), Shannon Titus (13.7) and Amoria Neal-Tysor (11.9). Defensively, Titus leads the team with 7.3 rebounds per game. Mercer is under the direction of tenth-year head coach Susie Gardner.
Furman is facing the Bears for the 19
th time in program history on Saturday and Mercer leads the all-time series 13-5. The Paladins ended the Bears' 34-game SoCon regular season winning streak on January 9 as they opened conference play with a 62-49 win at Timmons Arena.
Furman returns home on Thursday, February 13 to host Chattanooga at 7 p.m.
