HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- Furman senior Natalie Srinivasan (+1) shot even par Saturday to move into a tie for second at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at the par 71, 6,266 yard Pete Dye Course at Long Cove Club in Hilton Head, S.C.
Fourteenth-ranked Srinivasan, who hails from Spartanburg, S.C., started on No. 10 in the tournament's second round and parred her first nine holes to turn at even par. She birdied No. 1 then added a bogey on No. 5 and ended the day in a five-way tie for second, just one stroke behind leader Emilia Migliaccio (E) who recorded rounds of 72 and 70 in the first two days of play.
Sophomore Kyra Cox (+13) is tied for 58th after scoring a 76 with birdies on No. 15 and No. 18 on Saturday, while junior Carly Burkhardt (+14) is tied for 62nd after adding an 81 in the second round. Freshman Anna Morgan (+18) scored an 80 with birdies on No. 1 and No. 5 to enter the final round tied for 76th, and junior Madison Moosa (+21) is tied for 83rd after carding an 86 in Saturday's second round.Â
For the second-straight day, seventh-ranked Wake Forest (+7) holds a five-stroke lead over No. 14 UCLA (+12). No. 20 Baylor (+19) sits in third after two rounds, while 19th-ranked Auburn (+24) is fin fourth place. Top-ranked Texas (+25) and No. 36 North Carolina (+25) are tied for fifth. No. 33 Furman (+43) is in 13th place heading into Sunday's final round.
The 54-hole tournament will conclude on Sunday beginning at 8 a.m. Furman will tee off of No. 10 beginning at 8:50 a.m. and will play in a group with Florida State and Virginia.
